The New Moon in Scorpio was trine Saturn and this Super Full Moon in Taurus conjunct Uranus occurs a little over 7 hours after Saturn stations Direct- so Saturn the Lord of Karma and Father of Time has a strong presence throughout the entire Lunar Cycle. We are currently in the Front End Shadow of Mercury Retrograde and one of the defining signatures he has during his Underworld Journey are his 3 squares to Saturn- the first of which happened earlier this week on Tuesday November 12th. So this first Mercury/Saturn square was with Saturn slowing down to come to standstill and station Direct. It’s important to PAY ATTENTION to what is coming up to be faced, seen and/or addressed throughout this week as it is Saturn showing you where your lessons, growth, karma and/or mastery is calling you forward!
A Full Moon in Taurus opposite the Sun in Scorpio presences the axis of form (Taurus) and transFORMation (Scorpio). Taurus is focused on stability, security and safety- while Scorpio is focused on death of the old and rebirth of the new. This is the axis of money and resources with Taurus focused on our own money made and Scorpio focused on what we share with others, get from others (in the form of inheritance or debts owed) and also what we owe others (debt, taxes, etc…).
The Full Moon in Taurus just wants abundance, peace and enjoyment of the good things in life. Yet along comes Uranus to cojoin the Moon and the Wild Card Energy is present. You never know what you are going to get with Uranus as he is the Planet of Unpredictability. He could bring a windfall or a sudden super positive opportunity you did not see coming! He could also bring sudden and unexpected things that are NOT seen as positive and seem to come out of left field. The key with Uranus is to stay open to change and learn to orient your sails in the direction the winds of change are blowing in. Fixed Earth Taurus can dig its heels in and refuse change- and if that happens the Uranian energy playing out will be more shocking and destabilizing.
Interestingly this Full Moon links with all the Outer Planets- conjunct Uranus the Higher Mind, sextile Neptune the Higher Heart and trine Pluto the Higher Power at the last degree and last minutes of Capricorn! This Full Moon is also semisextile the Eris/Hygeia conjunction- linking the Goddess of Activism and Revealer of Truth with the Goddess of Healing and Wholeness. Their 2nd of 3 conjunctions occurs on Saturday November 16th- the day after the Full Moon. With all the Outer Bodies linking with this Full Moon there is certainly some amazing Transpersonal Energy present. The Winds of Change are here and there’s a Higher Plan unfolding. Yet with the Uranian energy so strong- it may look more like chaos and insanity than something Higher and beneficial. The degree to which we are stubbornly refusing to change and evolve will inform the degree to which we will experience this Full Moon as shocking. If we are open to change and willing to question our assumptions, fear-based attachments and old paradigm perspectives- then this Full Moon can be amazingly liberating and freeing!
With Pluto at the Karmic Completion Degree of Capricorn- set to move into Tropical Aquarius for good on November 19th- we have the last hurrah of all the shadow of patriarchy, government, big business, corporations and the establishment to really see and face. This is personal and collective- so pay attention to the house that Pluto is in in your chart- but also pay attention to what is unfolding on the world stage as well. There are a lot of bodies at 24/25 degrees in the chart- the Moon and Uranus in Taurus, the Scorpio Sun, Eris and Hygeia in Aries and Pallas Athena in Sagittarius. The Tight aspects make this Full Moon more potent- and with so much Fire involved we would all do well to have a good handle on emotions, anger and rage – with an ability to work with them not explode in them or stuff them as is often done with emotions. Shadow Work is key! And so is Embodiment and Somatic Practices– which Taurus always calls for. BE HERE NOW- in this body, on this earth- not going up and out, but coming all the way down and in!
The Full Moon and Uranus are both conjunct Capulus- the fixed Star in the Constellation of Perseus. Modern Perseus is seen as the Champion and Hero- but the Greek and Roman myths about him show a very destructive masculine hero archetype. The Greek name Perseus is thought to mean ‘to destroy’ coming from the word ‘pertho’. His name can also mean ‘to waste, ravage, or sack’. He killed Medusa and he killed Cetus – two ancient Matriarchal archetypes of female power. He is given help from both Mercury and Athena/Minerva- the planet of the mind and the Goddess of wisdom born of her father’s head (she is a very mental/patriarchal version of the Goddess in her modern myth- but keep in mind she was changed over time due to patriarchal agendas taking over). Symbolically this represents the Mind helping the warrior to kill and win- keeping us in a battle of good versus evil and keeping us stuck in duality.
The ancient constellation that was there before the Greek Perseus has a different story to tell- which you can see in the etymology of the stars in Perseus. Capulus is said to mean male, sexual or aggressive (Solar Fire software) which definitely speaks to the modern destructive hero Perseus displays. And there are 4 Gorgons he is seen as fighting- Medusa is one of them but there are 3 more. Gorgonia is said to be a female monster but the etymology of the word means vigorous, lively, raw and wild. They are the raw, wild and primal feminine energies that the Ego consciousness and patriarchy had to slaughter in order to dominate and take control.
With Capulus conjunct both the Moon and Uranus we may see a sudden upswing of male, sexual and aggressive energy. But we may also use this astrology to open our minds (Uranus) and realize that the mythos of the male hero that dominates, kills, rapes and destroys IS THE PROBLEM. As the Hermetic Maxim states- “As above, so below”- our myths projected onto the heavens are myths that incite war, duality, battles between good and evil, and promote violence. If we want humanity to awaken, heal and transform- we need new myths to save humanity.

Mercury will station Retrograde 10 days after the Full Moon and Mars will do so in 21 days. The Mind and the Ego/Will (God of War) are heading into the Underworld. This is not a time to act out or be impulsive- but instead to get reflective and deal with the past. Things set into motion now from impulsivity and reactivity can and will cost us. Instead using this time to deal with the past, complete things, and resolve things is recommended.
I leave you with the Sabian Symbol and Star Sparks degrees for this Full Moon (full text is below). The Sabian Symbol talks about “An Indian Warrior riding fiercely, human scalps hanging from his belt”. The Keynote is “the aggressiveness of human instincts when fighting for their earthly base of operation”. Dane Rudhyar goes on to say “man apparently still has to believe in violence for survival”. This is precisely what we need to change!
The Star Sparks degree tells a different story- perhaps the other side of the same coin if you will. The title of this degree is “A man with no mouth” which immediately makes me think that we all need to be quiet and LISTEN more than we speak ;) This degree talks about how in ancient times wisdom and truth were best served with “tact, self-containment, subtlety and grace”. Yes we can make a show of force (like Capulus/Peseus and the Sabian Symbol above) – but we could also choose a different path- one of waiting and watching, being silent, keeping one’s own counsel (i.e. keeping things to yourself). This degree warns us about abusing our position- being fanatical and prone to excess. And it reminds us that we need DISCERNMENT to determine if we are wielding our power selflessly or selfishly. If we are being self-serving- actions we take from this place will cost us.
It’s a powerful Full Moon! May the Uranian energy serve your awakening and may the Taurus energy serve your embodiment. And may the old patriarchal myths of killing, raping and violence die so that new myths of unity, harmony, integration and wholeness can take their place. If we want humanity to embody peace- we can start with our myths and also start with ourselves. Let us be the peace we wish to see in the world! And may the myths above reflect the evolving current of humanity below. So may be it <3

PHASE 54 (TAURUS 24°): AN INDIAN WARRIOR RIDING FIERCELY, HUMAN SCALPS HANGING FROM HIS BELT.
KEYNOTE: The aggressiveness of human instincts when fighting for their earthly base of operation.
In the mythology of early America, the Indian represents the “savage,” close to nature and led by primordial instincts. Alas, our present century has revealed that under far less imperative circumstances so-called civilized man is capable of far more cruel tortures and extermination. This symbol related to a fourth stage seems to imply that violence and aggressiveness are basic components of human nature at the level of the emotions and of a deep-seated identification with a particular culture which insists on regarding men of other cultures as potential enemies.
What is being confirmed here is the value of a group of men’s differences from other groups. We are still in the period of “Differentiation” (Act One of the cyclic process) and the need for a differentiation of human behavior and collective values is still very strong. At the emotional level man apparently still has to believe in VIOLENCE FOR SURVIVAL.

A man with no mouth.
We can express ourselves in many different ways. If we are in tune with the life current, we may be able to tap its meaning so directly that there is no secondary process involved. Then we become these sharp, intensive, wildly insistent beings, who bear a presence and a weight, an authority and a conviction, unable to be missed.
We learn not to disclose the obvious. Remembering from ancient times how wisdom and truth are best served with tact, self-containment, subtlety, and grace. We can make a show of force or disappear into waiting and watching. Both ways, we know what we’re doing and we stay at the center, not getting drawn out and away from our power and strength for anything.
So many gifts and treasures can be preserved, maintained, and also given ripe expression through this mode. It is simply a matter of keeping our own counsel and embodying precisely what we intend. Most of us here have been through so much preparation and training. We just know how to be with what we bear as something that stakes a claim bigger than ourselves.
However, we can also abuse this position. It is prone to fanaticism and excess. How do we know what is real and true here?
It is a matter of great discernment, subtle discrimination. Is the power being wielded selfless? Is the great presence that stands behind this energy being respected in a universal sympathy and sensibility? Or is there a self-serving and proud and blind tendency here?
Either way, the stature, the fervor, the dedication is tremendous. We stand upright, and we manifest a certain perfection which is formidable. We uphold what we know utterly.
