the new moon at 22’25 aries on sunday april 11th 2021 at 7:31pm PDT is a VERY BIG LUNATION! i just recorded the weekly horoscopes and there are a dozen aspects all spotlighting this sign and house where this sign falls in your chart. with the sun, moon, mercury, venus, ceres, chiron and eris all in this sign- big activation is incoming!!!
aries is the first sign of the zodiac- the alpha sign and ultimate yang energy. he is raring to go, ready to take action and wants what he wants and he wants it NOW! aries is the sign of the warrior, pioneer, leader and trailblazer. he STARTS and INITIATES things – but the key is to be conscious in what we set into motion (he rules accidents, arguments and conflict as well).
with 4 out of 5 personal planets in aries our ego energies can be high right now. ego is a container for spirit and is something that helps us be in the world. too much ego and we are being selfish, combative, aggressive and me-first. but too little ego is also a problem as ego is what helps us set boundaries, take action, take care of ourselves and deal with things head on.
with chiron in aries there is a HUGE HEALING happening in our relationship to the aries archetype. some people are great with aries and can do it well but also overdo it and be too focused on the self, aggressive, dominant and forceful- whereas others have difficult with aries and have a journey with bringing consciousness to anger, rage, healthy selfishness and agency. an honest self check in about where you are on this spectrum is key- as your growth, evolution and integration requires a balancing of these poles (and only you can truly know where your shadow lies).
this new moon is conjunct venus, ceres and eris- 3 amazing feminine archetypes- speaking to a massive opening up of energy for women, men and non-binary beings who honor the feminine within and without to find a new alignment with. venus is about love, beauty and partnership (the Lover) while ceres is about nurturing, nourishment and care of others and the self (the Mother). eris is a warrior Goddess and activist who turns the apple cart upside down to reveal the shadow underneath (the Warrior). she comes in with fires blazing and takes no prisoners!
i have personally been feeling and seeing an awakening of this new integration of feminine archetypal energy in women, some men and non-binary beings all around me. can we be relational and caring while still being fierce, powerful and boundaried? can we be loving and compassionate while expressing our sacred anger and moral outrage? love and anger can coexist. anger is an emotion but love is a state of being. love has the capacity to hold ALL OF IT- our grief and anger, our joy and fear, all of it!
the thing with anger is that when unskillfully used it can become very destructive, hateful, violent and ego-driven. when anger is not connected to the heart it can harm. when you look around at the world and see injustice- we need our anger to motivate us to take action to change what is unjust but we need our hearts to be open and love to be the driving force or we will dehumanize others and healing will not happen but rather a repetition of the harm.
and when you have been victimized and repressed a necessary part of your healing is to get in touch with and express your anger and rage! this is what will help us break through our depression, collapse, victimization and get into a state where energy is available to create change! it truly is all about a balance!
this new moon triggers the pluto/eris square- in my opinion the BIGGEST ASTROLOGY of 2020-21. pluto and eris are the 2 furthest bodies in our solar system- they are on the edge of the abyss looking out into the vast cosmos. they both have a lot to do with shadow and shadow work.
pluto is the roto rooter of the zodiac. he comes in to show us where the crap has gotten stuck and we can either do the work to purge or we can be dragged into the Underworld forced to do it (stasis is a precursor to death- so things staying stuck and stagnant goes against the laws of the Universe).
eris has more fire and heat- she is like the light under our butts that makes us MOVE and with her position in aries for everyone alive (unless you were born before 1922) she is activating any unprocessed or undigested anger and rage (personally and collectively).
the ruler of this lunation is mars in gemini and he is heading into his trigger of the pluto/eris square (april 13th-17th) and in the new moon chart he is trine jupiter and sextile all the aries planets (sun/moon/mercury/venus/eris). there is so much amazing mars energy on tap to access to initiate change, take action and make things happen!
mars is also triggering the eclipse degree from solar eclipse on december 14th (link to lunar insight can be found here- https://divineharmony.com/lunar-insight/total-solar-eclipse-in-sagittarius-let-the-truth-set-you-free-12-14-20/). that eclipse was on the south node- bringing HUGE focus to the karmic energies around hubris, self righteousness, morality and one’s own beliefs/perspective being RIGHT while others are WRONG. the north node in gemini demands that we come back to beginners mind, be curious, open and teachable. shadow sagittarius is always the teacher, never the student. gemini is about being curious and willing to learn- and willing to be wrong because you are more committed to the Truth than you are to being right. these themes are up Big Time right now!!!
we also have juno at a standstill- set to go retrograde 7 hours and 41 minutes after this new moon. we have a big juno journey this year as she aligns with the karmic south node three times from february to august. this can bring up big karmic stuff in relationships, partnerships and marriages. but it also magnifies the commitment to being right versus commitment to Truth. questions around what we are committed to can arise right now. and with mars opposite her at standstill this may be the action point for people, businesses, even countries to initiate or terminate relationships (mars can act like the surgeons knife- coming into cut the ties).
with venus conjunct persephone in aries and pluto opposite proserpina- the roman name for persephone- we can have Underworld situations playing out in relationships right now. this archetype speaks to transitions and separations and our reactions to them. some of us have one foot out the door the moment issues arise- others stay way too long, holding onto people and situations out of fear of the unknown. confrontation with where we hold on too long or let go to soon can arise.

Aries 23 A bottle labeled “Drink Me”
The capacity to change. The endlessly plastic protoplasmic willingness to take on any size or definition for the time, for as long as it serves. The roles are in constant motion, and soon what seemed to be this way will become a whole other way, with precious little memory of what came before.
When this gets speeded up, it can become a frenzy of instant shifts and quick changes. When it slows down and deepens, it can arise into life wisdom and the most astounding skills and gifts. An inward rudder is required to guide the deepening process, and sometimes getting to the point of respecting and acknowledging the presence of the inward rudder is half the battle.
Circulating between failure and success, chaos and sturdiness, shadow and light. Being conversant with every side and dreaming into every facet. Learning through experience, the hard way, what pans out and what is just a passing fancy.
Developing eventually the ability to wait, to reflect, to be unattached. This makes a world of difference. Then getting swallowed up in a given passage is no longer a blind ally. There is space and breath, freedom to move and freedom to not move yet.
Just to be able to hold the edge, to keep a taut line of attention and responsiveness is really what it’s all about. By observing, witnessing, appreciating what is coming through, we gain the leverage we badly need. The dark deep inside seeking to emerge from a spell, from an enchantment, from a curse. The shadows, the beast, the serpent, the dragon of legend and myth stirring, restlessly, pervasively, bringing forth longings and desires previously suppressed and denied.
Secrets and mysteries. Realms within realms. So much to get back in touch with now. A promise to the children of the future to come alive at the appointed times. The inquiries of karma and of destiny. That which cannot be understood, will not conform to convention.
