i just heard about the boston marathon bomb explosions. i don’t know a lot of the details- i heard of 3 explosions, two within a block of the finish line and another at the JFK library. not sure if there were more or what the precise details are- i do know i saw images of lots of blood on the sidewalk and my friend called me freaked out because she usually goes to support her husband at this marathon and stands in that exact spot but this year they both stayed home. there was divine intervention on her part clearly- but many others were not so lucky.
i immediately wanted to look at the chart (i am an astrologer after all). the first thing that strikes me is that the 2:50pm chart has virgo rising (a sign associated of exercise and mind/body awareness- interesting considering this was a marathon!) with neptune in pisces exactly opposite. neptune in the 7th symbolizes delusion, deception and/or some kind of covert operation playing out. i think not all is what it seems and we need to question who would do this and why. the answers may be the last thing we expect- so don’t jump to conclusions and definitely don’t believe everything you hear on the television.
secondly we have the fixed star algol conjunct the midheaven at the very top of the chart. algol is known as the demon star and often has a lot of bad press. algol is the eye of medusa and she is one of the Dark Goddesses. the most positive expression of algol is seeing beyond the facade to the Truth and speaks to the Dark Goddess’ power of unearthing and revealing shadow. yet the negative implication of algol culminating is rage, destruction, violence and something dark and underworldly brewing. in addition, the moon is in gemini and it is conjunct black moon lilith with both in precise aspect to the midheaven- bringing in more Dark Goddess energy, illuminating something brewing beneath the surface and reminding us that things are not what they seem.
to add to this we just had pluto, the lord of the underworld, station retrograde 3 days ago (on the 12th) and we have a very potent and intense scorpio lunar eclipse coming up next week on the 25th. we are in the eclipse portal and with pluto/scorpio playing a big part in the eclipse line up the shadow and the underworld are definitely up for review. and on top of all that saturn in scorpio is quincunx uranus in aries- pitting the forces of power/control and rage/violence against each other. it’s definitely a heavy and explosive time right now- internally as well as externally.
on wednesday (the 17th) the sun will align with mars in the sign of aries and as of today they are within orb (in aspect). aries is the sign of the warrior, will and drive- with aries prominent violence, accidents and sudden explosions are definitely a possibility. we have been in a period of several weeks where aries has been the dominant energy- so why did this kind of thing only happen at the end of that period of time (3 of the 4 aries planets shift into new signs this week starting with venus who is already in taurus as i write this blog). i believe the combination of pluto stationary, saturn in scorpio quincunx uranus in aries and the lunar eclipse exact next week have created the perfect storm. aries is a sign that acts in the moment, while scorpio/pluto energy is more underhanded and belabored about the whole process. when you put the two together you have a seemingly random event that had a lot of precision and planning put into it.
i think the best thing we can do right now is question everything. who did this and why? something about this makes me think of the movie theater explosion and the elementary school massacre. something is not sitting right and although i have my ideas i am going to leave you to question things and come up with your own.
i think it’s important for us all to realize that fear is meant to prompt us to take action and address things. if we allow it to freeze us up, disempower us or force us to give up our power to others then it’s not useful and it can even be destructive.
