this week we are building up to a potent full moon in leo, exact on saturday the 26th at 8:38pm PST. all week long the ruler of this full moon, the sun, is super active- bringing lots of opportunities for insights, awarenesses and shifts in consciousness. the sun and mercury are traversing together in the sign of aquarius right now. they were precisely conjunct each other last friday the 18th and as mercury speeds past the sun all the aspects he makes first will be followed up by the sun shortly there after. this week alone they both connect with pluto (by declination), ceres, uranus, jupiter, the north node (by declination) and chiron- making it a very active week! the week ends with another sun/mercury aspect by declination- making the last 10 days a super aspect between the conscious self and ego and the conscious mind and intellect. opportunities for aha moments and bolt of the blue insights are high- so pay attention to conversation, communication and thinking this week- messages can come in from the most unlikeliest of places!
the most significant aspects to the sun and mercury are the sweet ones to jupiter and uranus. openings, growth, shifts and evolutionary leaps are present this week- we just have to open our minds and hearts in order to embrace the possibilities. yet on friday and saturday (saturn’s day!) that expansive, freedom loving energy will shift as mercury squares saturn and the full moon in leo square saturn is exact. the sun will square saturn next week wednesday (the 30th) on the same day the jupiter stations direct- so testing of our desires, dreams and visions in regards to how they measure up to cold, hard reality is a theme until the end of january. jupiter desires unlimited growth and uranus desires unlimited freedom- yet saturn understands that sometimes we need to prune first before we can grow and that we need limits that test our ability to work creatively within them. output without input, expense without income, movement without stability can get chaotic and excessive- and it can get us into trouble!
the leo and scorpio areas of your chart are where your need to focus your realistic assessment of things, get serious and get grounded- while the aquarius area of your chart is where you seek freedom and liberation and can step outside of the box. the balancing of opposites is what the spiritual path is about. moving past this or that to get to both/and is not easy work- but it’s what the journey of consciousness is also about. when we can begin to live in and with paradox the world opens up to us! learning to see limits as freeing or freedom as discipline is a good starting point.
pay close attention to what areas of life feel bound and what areas of life feel wide open and free and see if you can apply a both/and perspective to them so that they no longer attract you or repel you, but in fact they hold you in the center of yourSelf in a space where all is One and the possibilities are endless.
