starting today and lasting through thursday mercury makes some pretty intense, but also evolutionary aspects. this is huge for geminis and virgos who are mercury ruled- but also for anyone with planets around 18 degrees of cardinal signs (aries, cancer, libra, capricorn). and for each sign in general this will impact the house that libra is located in (check weekly horoscopes for more personal, pertinent information).
starting with today- mercury makes a super aspect to chiron (meaning he aspects chiron by both degree and declination) and he also parallels saturn. on thursday mercury will cojoin saturn- which makes the mercury/saturn aspect a super aspect as well. mercury/chiron brings us face to face with old wounds, old pain and feelings of rejection- and this can come up in conversation and communication with others, or in old thought patterns playing out in our heads. at his best chiron helps us expand our awareness and grow in consciousness- but with tense aspects the means to get there is through the pain and wounds of the past.
mercury/saturn is quite grounded, serious and focused- this is a great aspect for research and practical conversations. but the shadow of mercury/saturn can be pessimism, overly-critical thinking, and old limiting karmic crap playing out via communication and thinking. the best use of this astrological aspect is for having serious, no-nonsense conversations with ourselves and others that either commits us for the long-haul OR has us finally prune and purge the karmic past.
the light at the end of the tunnel comes in the form of mercury’s sextile to the evolutionary north node. the north node points to our path of growth- and harmonious aspects to the north node give us insight into where our growth lies. so right now our growth involves having serious, grounded conversations about reality, boundaries, relationships, and commitments- and it also involves dealing with the karmic past. if we can move through the chiron and saturn energies and work with them rather than resist them we can find ourselves growing in leaps and bounds this week- taking ourselves to a whole new evolutionary level.
you may feel the heaviness of chiron and saturn looming on the horizon- but hopefully you can also feel the possibilities for maturity, growth and wisdom that come with them.
