the new moon at 13’25 libra is exact on wednesday october 6th, 2021 at 4:05am PDT- commencing a new lunar cycle focus on relationships, partnerships and the sacred balance (or lack there of) in self and other, give and take, assertion and compromise.
this is one very intense lunar cycle- there is just not getting around that. on the day of the new moon pluto stations direct and 2 days later a standstill pluto squares eris for the 5th and final time (2020-2021). the new is conjunct mars and we have a triple conjunction of sun/mercury/mars October 7th-9th and then the full moon at the midpoint of this cycle is in aries, conjunct eris, opposite mars and square pluto- with the mars trigger of the pluto/eris square occurring a day later.
upheaval, chaos, revelations, unexpected role reversals and all others manifestations of mars/pluto/eris energy are incoming. buckle up!
the new moon is conjunct mars (libra)4 and opposite chiron in the sign of mars (aries). the LIBRA/ARIES axis is massively activated right now. we versus me, others versus self, surrender and compromise versus assertion and self preservation. wherever we err to far on one end of this spectrum at the expense of the other- this is in focus.
do you sweep things under the carpet to the keep the peace at any cost? do you have a hard time setting boundaries, saying no or standing up for yourself? OR do you come from an individualistic perspective so much that it’s all about you winning and dominating even if it means you make others lose or take advantage of them? a rebalancing of the scales is in process- with a confrontation with our own personal growth edge coming up to be faced.
the new moon is also quincunx uranus with both the sun and mars quincunx uranus the same day of the new moon- the Rebel, Revolutionary and planet of upheaval is dominating! sudden, unexpected reversals or information and realizations coming to Light are in focus. with both bodies in venus ruled signs- i forsee an activation in women and the feminine in all of us. add in eris to the picture- the activist warrior Goddess and we can see this picture even more!
there is a Grand Air Trine formed with the new moon conjunct mars, saturn in aquarius and the north node/lilith/stationary ceres conjunction in gemini (ceres goes retrograde 10/8). grand air trines are great for information, communication, realizations and inspiration. with the Great Mother and Dark Feminine on the north node- the Divine Feminine archetype is definitely leading the path towards evolution. part of this is about WOMEN SPEAKING UP and using their voices to shed Light on the shadow being swept under the carpet.
when we look at asteroids we see a clearer picture- venus at 29 scorpio (ruler of the new moon) is opposite kassandra at 29 taurus. kassandra was a prophetess – originally of the Goddess but when patriarchy took over she became an oracle for apollo. Apollo was attracted to her and wanted to sleep with her- she said no- he got mad- so he curse her. he said you have the gift of prophecy but no one will believe you. her story is one of always seeing what is cooming and trying to warn others but she gets laughed at, called crazy and ignored.
to me kassandara involved in this super intense lunar cycle is all about women (and men or non-binary beings who honor the feminine) reclaiming their prophetic voice and being done with victim/tyrant games. rise up and claim your fire, your anger and your rage and channel it through the purity and compassion of your open heart (just accessing rage without the compassion and love will not serve).
we also have uranus conjunct orpheus- grieving what was lost particularly in regards to Mother Earth and her environment (uranus is in taurus after all). uranus is also opposite panacea- we are all looking for the cure. but the cure lies in coming fully down and in- to be embodied and show up for what is REALLY HAPPENING i your life and on the planet. this is not about spiritual bypassing or thinking you are the reincarnation of jesus or mary magdalene. you are the incarnation of YOU and past and present are not the points of power. the point of power is in the NOW- and full presence and embodiement is the only way to fully access your power. (Embodied Astrology is my new course that is in service of this sacred act of coming full down and in)
with so many planets retrograde and ready to go direct (merecury, jupiter, saturn, chiron, uranus, neptune, pluto and eris- OH MY!) it may feel like you are walking in wet cement but don’t you worry- the planets are changing direction and will pick up speed (list of them all below). getting clear on the actions you need to take and directions you need to head in is key right now.

NEW MOON DEGREE
Libra 14 A chariot pulled by four elephants
Libra is under heavy constraint. She has a rhythm which has been evolving consistently for lifetimes. It’s a rhythm of keeping herself back inside and remaining passive to the flow of life all around her. She has come to treat the world like a dream. She inhabits a deep trance. Yet within that overlay, something else happens.
Libra is sprung from the literal external facts and events to recreate herself from within, while her previous karmas play out upon the surface. This gives her a very different vantage point. She is fabulously removed from the drama of life. And is deeply absorbed within the future, which for her is an entirely different realm.
Libra thus becomes split in four directions. The far left part of her creates the future, without any limits whatsoever. The far right part of her trances out into past karmic patterns with no feeling, no preference, nothing but resignation and the ability to track with things as inevitable and just there.
The close left part of her is seeking to integrate her future dreams with her present reality. This one is hard pressed, working far too assiduously for far too little result. But she is the key of destiny.
The close right part is convinced that what is happening is very strange. This part is a commentator, a joker. Often verbally, this part will deflect much of the ongoing continuum and pretend that it’s a game, a joke, something none of us can ever get engrossed within.
The close right part serves as perfect shadow. The close left part becomes earnest and dedicated. The deeper sisters dream and live past fate and say nothing.
PLUTO STANDSTILL DEGREE

We are visible creatures. As such, we are captured by the visual field. Everywhere we go, somebody is tracking us, stalking us, assessing who we are based upon how we seem, what impressions we give in an outer way.
If our driving purpose is sufficiently ruthless and stark, we can take the world of appearances, of personalities and politics, of semblance’s and images, and we can get on top of this scene and be the one who knows how to handle herself when all eyes are on her. In fact, she comes to life for the limelight, to only be there when it counts to be the public person’s representative.
She can take this very far. She can get away with the most outrageous poses. For she has this inward fiber of guts and presence of mind, that quality which often makes for greatness. And even when she falls short of that mark, she will impress, she will beguile, she will persuade, she will win.
There is another dimension that can be attained in this sphere. First, she must see through her own proud stature and pierce her own disguise. Then a different world dawns, one that diverges hugely from anything previously expressed.
She becomes the archetypal embodiment of a greater way of being. She is still disguised, still veiled, still a stranger, an outsider. But now her structures are here for a real purpose. She is doing the work which is critically needed if we are all to evolve from here.
Her special capacity is to do impossible tasks and to bridge seemingly forever polarized worlds. Nothing stops her. That peculiar charm is metamorphosed into utter self-composure of an authentic kind. She means business and it’s a greater business. The one we all benefit from.

Aries 25 A great dragon asleep in a cave
The dark deep inside seeking to emerge from a spell, from an enchantment, from a curse. The shadows, the beast, the serpent, the dragon of legend and myth stirring, restlessly, pervasively, bringing forth longings and desires previously suppressed and denied.
Secrets and mysteries. Realms within realms. So much to get back in touch with now. A promise to the children of the future to come alive at the appointed times. The inquiries of karma and of destiny. That which cannot be understood, will not conform to convention.
A wildness, a raw primal quality of needing an immense outlet for a huge energy that never had a place here. A desperate drive to let these things emerge, or else feel trapped and stuffed and caught in meaningless retrials of self avoidance at all cost.
An emotional energy of ferocious intensity. So deep. So forbidden. So strange to the modern ways. Called to merge, to tap the depths, to activate the dormant powers for the sake of the whole.
An absolutely extraordinary ability to draw forth what was hidden in each and all. A threshold capacity to elicit confidence and strength and new forces in those who are seeking a further enfoldment beyond the known.
