The New Moon at 2’08 Leo is exact on Thursday July 24th, 2025 at 3:11pm EDT- commencing a new Lunar Cycle that is focused on creativity, passion, self expression and Living From the Truth of our Hearts!
This is one powerful New Moon as the Sun is in Dignity/Rulership (in the Sun’s Sign of Leo) and all the Outer/Transpersonal Planets activate the Sun!!! From Uranus the Higher Mind, to Neptune the Higher Heart, to Pluto the Higher Will and Power- as well as Eris the Activist, Sedna the Mother of the Sea and Chiron the Wounded Healer- the Outer Planets are coming into alignment and this New Moon triggers some very big astrology unfolding now through 2032.
The Sun in Leo is about the small self and ego self- but it is also about the Self (capital S self) which is an archetype of wholeness. If you think of the Solar System we are a part of- all the other Planets rotate around our Sun. From Earth based astrology we see them from our Geocentric perspective- but the truth is that we all rotate around the Sun! So the Sun is the CENTER POINT- and we can see this in human consciousness as being ego centered OR being Self-centered (i.e. Higher Self centered).
If we go for the lower frequency we are focused on our own needs, desires and pleasure at the expense of others. Shadow Leo can be narcissistic and self involved- it’s all about me, look at me, I need lots of validation and adoration. Shadow Leo is the King or Queen who needs everyone to bow to them :-0
But the Higher Octave of Leo is pure radiance. Someone who comes from a Higher Place with Leo energy shines like 10,000 Suns and they radiate such Love and authenticity that it is contagious and it awakens the same energies in others because it is so infectious.
With the Outer Planets all activating the Sun/Moon conjunction- we have an opportunity to RAISE OUR FREQUENCY. Our small selves/ego selves are called to surrender to the Higher Self that wants to come in and through in. Uranus sextiles the New Moon and Neptune trines it- so the Wisdom and Love energy is easily assimilated by the sense of self.
It is the Power energy of Pluto that is in opposition and the Discord/Chaos and Wounding energy of Eris/Chiron that is square the New Moon. If we stay stuck in ego- wanting to control, dominate, have it be all about ME- then these more tense aspects can exacerbate power dynamics, anger, aggression, rage and impulsivity or reactivity. So be aware and navigate with care!
There is a Grand Fire Trine in the chart with Sun/Moon in Leo, Saturn/Neptune in Aries and Pallas Athena in Sagittarius. There is also almost a full Grand Air Trine- we have Uranus in Gemini trine Pluto in Aquarius. The only point missing is 0-3 Libra – which is the position of the Super Galactic Center, the USA’s Midheaven and the Sabian Symbol that is entitled ‘the Light of the 6th Race Transmuted to the 7th’.
If you have anything from 0-3 Libra this New Moon is kicking off the Uranus, Neptune and Pluto Minor Grand Trine transits that are incoming. Consider these transits a call from your Higher Self to RISE UP TO A NEW LEVEL of being, understanding and operating in the world!
When looking at the asteroids we have Jupiter conjunct Aesculapia EXACT to the minute (10’09 Cancer)- bringing focus to healing and brings amazing opportunities to take our healing journeys to deeper levels. This is amplified by Eris conjunct Chiron and Hygeia strong in the sky- 3 different healer/healing archetypes are active right now- so anything you are doing that focuses on healing is a good thing to put your energy into.
The Sabian Symbol speaks to ‘a middle aged woman’ who is breaking free from expectation and obligation. She refuses to be bound by biological or social standards. This is perfect symbolism for the New Moon being activated by all the Outer Planets! Something Higher than what we have been told we are or are here for is wanting to come in and through. Breaking out, breaking free, stepping outside of the box of convention and more are all good medicine in the coming Lunar Cycle :)

The meaning of the symbol can be extended to any desire an individual woman would have to claim her right to experiences of youth which may have been denied to her, especially when according to the fashion of the day such experiences are considered highly valuable.

Bursting vitality, seething life forces, mobility and freedom. I come forth with an
oriental feeling for what the Earth Aliveness can really be. I get around. I can go
anywhere. I need to discover the full range of human experience in the Earth for myself
first hand.
But I am receptive, I am open, I am responsive to the cries I meet. I want to
learn. I need to be shown. I am not complete within myself. I feel this hunger, this
desire, this roaring spark to go forth from within myself and be consumed by life, be all
there with it.
I am a rough ride. Because I am so eager and outgoing and intent upon
experiencing so many things in life, I miss key subtle factors which determine things on
the inside. So I have accidents, I get bumped around. I can’t seem to pay close enough
attention to the fine print. I have too much energy to burn. I can’t stop here.
It is a big struggle for me to endure the basic patterns of daily life in an ordinary
world. I am not built for duties and tasks. I am here to show the whole spark of
existence at once. If only nothing would contain me, would get in the way of my
adventure.
But when I soar, give proof that it’s good to be alive in a body, in a moving
current that is open and free and spontaneous and joyous. I make sure that life itself is
rightfully served.
My brightness, my maneuverability are so compelling to me that I follow through
wherever they lead. This trip is on me. You just won’t believe how thrilling it can be!
