The New Moon at 28’43 Capricorn is exact on Sunday January 18th, 2026 at 12:52pm MST (11:52am PST/2:52pm EST)- initiating us into a new Lunar Cycle that focuses on work, career, success, government and business. Capricorn is about grounding, mastery, discipline and integrity- but his shadow side is about control, oppression, refusing to evolve or change, and staying in things (situations/relationships as well as belief systems and perceptions) long beyond their expiration date.
When I looked at the New Moon chart after I cast it- my first thought was “Holy Crap What an UNUSUAL CHART!” (See Chart Wheel below) I do not recall ever seeing a New Moon that makes so many aspects to all the Personal Planets. Mind you they are the SAME aspects to all of the Personal Planets because they are all within the span of 6 degrees!!! From Mars at 26’27 Capricorn to Venus at 1’38 Aquarius- with Mercury and the Sun/Moon conjunction in between- there is a VERY TIGHT ALIGNMENT OF ALL THE PERSONAL PLANETS as they move out of Tropical Capricorn and into Tropical Aquarius (this tight of an alignment by conjunction is called a Stellium).
We have had New Moons with Stelliums before. What makes this New Moon on another level is that Saturn, Uranus, Neptune and Pluto are all at the last degrees of the Sign they are exiting or in the first degrees of the Sign they are now in for good. So the entire Stellium is linking with all 3 Outer Planets (Uranus, Neptune and Pluto) as well as Saturn the Anchor and Planet of bringing things into Manifestation. In addition to this, just a few degrees before the end of the sign we have Chiron and Eris approaching their last conjunction in Aries- which squares all the Capricorn Planets as they make their way into the Transpersonal Planetary Portal!!!
We are building to one of the BIGGEST Transits of the year, of the decade and honestly of the first quarter of the 21st Century- with Uranus, Neptune and Pluto heading into a Grand Sextile (or Minor Grand Trine) alignment. This will be exact for the first time in July of 2026. In my recent Sirius Portal Series which was a DEEP DIVE into the Astrology of 2026- our last 2+ hour class was on this Transpersonal Grand Sextile. When you look at the Chart Wheel posted below- notice that in the graph to the left you can see the first 5 columns all repeating aspects over and over. This is because all the Personal Planets that the first 5 columns represent are making the exact same aspects one after another. A chart shows aspects by orb- which can be approaching or separating. The precision of the transits is happening in the lead up to this New Moon and will also happen afterwards. Notably all the Personal Planets square Chiron January 11th-15th, square Eris, January 12th-17th, trine Uranus January 17th-19th, sextile Neptune January 17th-22nd and finally they cojoin Pluto January 19th-27th. Suffice it to say- January 11th-27th the Astrology is off the charts and ON ANOTHER LEVEL.

What does “On Another Level” mean? Well when we are talking about the Transpersonal Planets we are talking about the Higher Octaves of the Personal Planets. Uranus is the Higher Mind/Higher Octave of Mercury the lower, personal mind. Neptune is the Higher Heart/Higher Octave of Venus the lower, personal heart. And Pluto is the Higher Will and Power/Higher Octave of Mars the lower, personal will and power. The Astrology perfecting this July is calling us all to Ascend- but not in the sense of ‘disembody, leave the planet, go up and out’ but rather about ascending to a Higher Level in consciousness WHILE STAYING IN THE BODY, BEING HERE NOW. This is how we anchor the Light and contribute to the Awakening of Humanity.
This New Moon highlights the TRANSITION we are in from Capricorn to Aquarius- Pluto just navigated this transition point in the last couple years and he is in Aquarius for good now. But with Uranus- ruler of Aquarius- shifting into Gemini for good this year, we are going to see another level of the Aquarian frequency come into the mix.
Aquarius has so much Light we can reach for- evolution, awakening, change, transformation of humanity (particularly with Pluto in Aquarius)- but Aquarius also has shadow we need to be aware of. The tendency to want to let AI do everything for us (which will alter the brain- like a car that never gets turned on and driven) to thinking that genetically modifying nature is the way to save the earth (spoiler alert- NO, for most of the proposed and currently happening genetic modifications- it is causing harm)- if we let the shadow of AI brain take over, not to mention group mind where stop thinking for ourselves and thinking outside of the box- we will find ourselves heading down a very different path than the one we are dreaming of.
This New Moon asks us to take stock of things- personally and collectively. What is toxic, patriarchal, old paradigm? What is revolutionary and evolutionary? And more importantly what is a wolf in sheep’s clothing? What looks like revolution and evolution but it’s actually the old paradigm dressed in new clothes? Where are our beliefs, perceptions and ideas not only being shaped but are being MANIPULATED by media, the powers that be, those with vested interest in us staying divided, stuck in fear, coming from desire and more. Most modern marketing is based on triggering people’s unconscious desires and fears- hooking us in our lower chakras and keeping us stuck in lower consciousness responses. And most Public Relations with celebrities and public figures as well as the world news- is based on propaganda. We are being shown what they want us to see. Not all is as it seems.
The ruler of the New Moon is Saturn in Pisces who is sextile to the New Moon quite tightly- and is heading to sextile Uranus in Taurus (the next day on January 19th) with Mars triggering both Harmoniously at the same time (Mars trines Uranus, sextiles Saturn). Saturn is the old, Uranus is the new. Saturn is the past, Uranus is the future. Both are in yin signs having to do with emotions and intuition (Saturn in Pisces) and the body/material reality (Uranus in Taurus)- but both are soon to shift into yang signs of action and initiation (Saturn into Aries) and mind and thinking (Uranus into Gemini). Saturn is actually linking with all 3 Outer Planets in the coming 2 months- sextile Uranus January 19th, conjunct Neptune February 20th and sextile Pluto on March 28th. Saturn is anchoring, grounding and bringing into MANIFESTATION the Transpersonal Grand Sextile that is building as we move towards July!
When you add in the asteroids you get a deeper layer to the story. The Sun and Moon are conjunct Astraea- the Goddess of Purity and Justice. She was the last of the Divine Beings who remained on the Earth with humans as we all moved deeper into the Dark Age. All the other Divine Beings left as the lowering of consciousness on the planet was too much for them to bear. She finally left when she could not be in the level of consciousness we devolved to- due to all the war, hate, violence, rape, anger and rage our collective consciousness fell into. Astraea as an asteroid can speak to blocked closure- when we stay too long and put up with things long beyond the expiration date. But She also speaks to Her Return- as it is said that when our collective consciousness raises enough again she will be the first of the Divine Beings to return to Earth!
We also have Pluto conjunct Atlantis- the mythical (and in my perspective ancient and REAL) civilization from 1/2 a Great Year cycle ago (12-13,000 years ago). At that time humanity’s technology advanced to such a point that it far outweighed our morality and humanity- and like a bird with only one wing, it caused us to crash and burn. Pluto/Atlantis is reminding us of our past so WE DO NOT HAVE TO REPEAT IT. History repeats itself until we learn from the past, make amends and change the way we do things- which then alters trajectories moving forward. With the asteroid Demeter (Mother Earth) opposite Pluto- we particularly need to pay attention to the technological geo modifications we are doing do nature and the Sacred Balance of Nature and Earthy Life that we are disrupting. (This is a REPEAT of Atlantis!)
Add in declinations and we see that all of these Personal Planets in conjunction are also very close in declination under the Ecliptic representing what is below the horizon and in the Unconscious. ALL of the Major Planets are South of the Ecliptic right now with the exception of Jupiter the Bringer of Light and Uranus the Great Awakener! This is a reminder that to see clearly right now we must be in an expanded state of consciousness and we must be willing to OPEN OUR MINDS and come back to BEGINNER’S MIND (that state of openness and receptivity we were anchored in when we were children).

The Sabian Symbol is titled “A Woman Reading Tea Leaves”. I just got initiated into reading tea leaves when I moved to Colorado and got to join Gigi for in person tea ceremonies (She has been a guest teacher on some of my recent courses offering Tea Ceremony gatherings tied into the course content we are exploring together). I drink tea all the time but in tea ceremony if you do not have a sieve keeping the leaves out – you can get tea leaves in your cup. And WOW did I start seeing images and hearing messages when I tuned into them!
This degree is about ‘the ability to see the Signature of hidden meaning in every occurrence drawing one’s attention’. It is a degree that evokes the ability to see in everything the Signature of deeper realities- aka opening up to Clairvoyance. I do think and feel and believe that this very gift or capacity is something we all want and need to work on cultivating in the years ahead. When media is being manipulated and group mind becomes a collective spell- if you have cultivated the ability to see beyond your small self’s beliefs, fears and fantasies- and have learned to read the room and see beyond the veil- your voice will become one of the anchors in an increasingly chaotic world as we move to the tipping point and reset of consciousness that is incoming.
The Star Sparks degree is titled “An architect carefully surveying old ruins”. It speaks to the cyclical experience of civilizations rising and falling, being at the top (supremacy) and then falling down (inferiority). Like the Wheel of Fortune card- the ONLY constant is change. The moment we try to stop change or control that which is beyond our control- is the moment the Wheel Turns in the direction we were trying to avoid.
When it comes to civilizations this degree reminds us that ‘falsehood, corruption, distortion of every kind is at the crux point of what has made the world such a mess’. And when we look at the mess we can become cynical, skeptical, full of doubt. The medicinal movement is to uncover/recover our vision, retrace a lost track, remember an ancient pathway that was obvious at one point but has been covered by shadow and doubt and illusion. If we want to see and create the positive- we must strip away all the negative that obscures our vision. As within, so without.

PHASE 209 (CAPRICORN 29°): A WOMAN READING TEA LEAVES.
KEYNOTE: The ability to see the Signature of hidden meaning in every occurrence drawing one’s attention.
Man has always sought to interpret the meaning of events or situations which baffle him in terms of specific omens or “Signatures.” The reading of tea leaves is only a commonplace modern version of a certain type of procedure used by priests of all ancient religions. The practice is based on a realization of “the relation of everything to everything else” — a definition of astrology given by Marc Jones. Dream interpretation in depth psychology belongs to the same category, as it is based upon the establishment of a close connection between the unconscious and the conscious. But in dream analysis the individual unconscious, at least at first, is mainly referred to, while in omens (or modern fortune-telling at its best) one relies upon the power of occult forces or entities to convey the information that will clarify confusing situations.
This fourth stage symbol can be referred to a specific “technique” of understanding or evaluation. What is implied is the ability not only to perceive the facts of everyday existence, but to see through these facts and discover how they are related to the realm of basic meanings or archetypal processes. This is essentially what is meant by true CLAIRVOYANCE, the capacity to see in everything the Signature of deeper realities.

An architect carefully surveying old ruins
He sees something. He witnesses how what once was great becomes lost over time. And when he goes into it, as he must, he realizes that there was something inherent in the greatness that was flawed. He then gives himself the task of tracking down the flaws, of obsessing upon what went wrong, and of seeking to teach himself and others, the lessons involved in the greatness that goes for a tumble and looses its glory.
This study, this research, this investigation cuts close to the bone. Just about everything is implicated, just about everybody is part of the syndrome. The further you look, the greater the evidence that falsehood, corruption, distortion of every kind is at the crux point of what has made the world such a mess. And it is very hard to believe in anything else when you fill your screen of awareness with doubts and proofs that doubt is legitimate and the only reasonable attitude.
Then the path becomes to begin to find an integration after empowering consciousness to take charge. This is quite a challenge. He must find proof that there is something worth championing in this world which can endure and can stand up to inspection.
Sadly, if you impose skepticism upon what is being observed, you skew your experiment to render it very hard to generate sufficient space to foster that which can reveal a whole different side to life. The only way the skeptical mind set can outwit itself in this tight predicament is if a vision is uncovered, a lost track retraced, an ancient hunch restored to the light of day. Then the one who has gone so far into the modern vantage point may be propelled beyond it, in order to see the scope and magnitude of what is really here when you strip yourself of all negative assumption whatsoever.
