this dark moon in aries has been a fertile time of processing and releasing old karma around how we relate to and express the masculine in our lives. aries is the first sign of the zodiac and he symbolizes the baby in the stages of human development. like a baby, an aries greets the world with fire and expressive energy, boldly stating to the world ‘I AM!’. the positive expression of aries is honest, direct, assertive, dynamic and action-oriented. yet the shadow side of aries is what can be activated during a dark moon- so looking at our issues with anger (overly expressing it or repressing it), self-focus that manifests as selfish and self-centered or denying the self in unhealthy ways, boundaries in our relationships or lack thereof, and how we assert ourselves in the world (aggressiveness versus passivity) is a focus right now. with the dark moon activating the mercury retrograde degrees and the mercury/uranus conjunction (exact this sunday) as well as triggering the uranus/pluto square- we are more than likely to have a lot up for us to process during this dark moon that began on wednesday the 18th and lasts until midnight tonight (friday the 20th).
the new moon in taurus is exact early tomorrow morning, just minutes after midnight (12:18am PDT). this marks the end of the dark moon and the start of a new lunar cycle. this new moon is potent- it is conjunct the asteroid goddess of mothering and nurturing (ceres) and is involved in a grand earth trine with mars and pluto (the lower and Higher will). there is A LOT of potent manifestation energy available to us at this new moon- but we have to tap into the energy to make use of it. a grand trine is auspicious but it’s not a silver spoon in the mouth. you have to show the Universe you are ready to take action and go for your dreams!
