saturn is stationary right now and boy can you feel the pull inward and downward? saturn is the planet of mastery, personal responsibility, integrity and commitment. he is also the planet of limitations, constriction, restriction and depression. the feeling that something really serious and focused, with long term consequences or rewards is taking form right now would not be so far from the mark. yet the slowing down movement of saturn (exact on monday the 18th at 9:02am) is asking us to slow down and take stock of the moment. with saturn standing still it’s not a time of taking final actions or thinking we have it all figured out. it’s a moment in time to observe, have patience and wait for the stars to align.
with saturn stationary in scorpio the depths and the shadow cannot be ignored. our personal dark night of the Soul can be a part of this experience- if you find yourself in one know that the only way out is through. saturn in scorpio demands we look at our own taboos and face our fears and/or our obsessions and compulsions with acting them out. looking to see where we have repressed or restricted our sexuality, vulnerability and power is key. alternatively looking to see where we act out sexually or crave for power is also key. two sides of the same spectrum- they seem very different but in fact they are not!
lucky for us, saturn is in sweet aspect to both chiron the wounded healer and pluto the lord of the underworld. in addition saturn is in mutual reception with pluto (they are in each other’s signs). there are deep and profound opportunities right now for Soul healing, transformation and karmic clearing. areas in life where we keep getting stuck over and over ad nausea have potential to turn over a new life. lifetimes of patterns we have been living out can turn on a dime- if and only IF we are willing to face our shadows, own our own dramas, and take personal responsibility for the life we have been living. this is not a time to project our wounds- as projecting them makes the other responsible for them and then we cannot truly own them, heal them and move past them.
saturn will be retrograde until 7/7 when he goes direct again- just in time for the auspicious grand water trine that plays out during the entire month of july. july is ripe for heart openings, healing and profound spiritual and emotional shift. it’s really, really auspicious- but the precursor to getting there and reaping the benefits is the deep work we do now. whatever area of life that is pulling you down into the underworld- whether it is relationships, finances, health, family, career or otherwise (read your weekly horoscopes to see where saturn is stationing this week)- if you put your nose to the grindstone and do the deep work asked of you, you can expect some major shifts and openings in july.
