new moon check-in

by | Sep 5, 2011 | Astrology Blog

this week features a bunch of intense astrology involving the sign of virgo. now all the virgos out there- don’t you worry, you are not the only ones who are going to feel the crunch. anywhere we have virgo in our chart is where we will be feeling the intensity. recall that we just had a new moon in virgo a week ago today. that new moon was a seeding time and it has A LOT of potential- but it also has some illusions/delusions we have to face (neptune opposed the new moon) and old wounds and pain we have to move through to heal (chiron also opposed it). in true virgo fashion- what you began at the new moon will require work, commitment and attention to detail if you are going to see it through.

this week mercury opposes neptune for the third and final time- but it’s a super aspect because the opposition is by degree AND declination. wait for the fog to clear and question everything- your assumptions, your Truth, the words someone else is telling you. of course not to a paranoid degree- but you need to access a healthy does of virgoan discerment and not get swept away by fantasies or outright deception. mercury then moves into virgo and opposes chiron and tensely aspects saturn. venus in virgo is also under duress by saturn and chiron, and then both venus and the sun in virgo will square the nodes- bringing us to a crossroads where we can choose the untread path of growth or we can go on the familiar path of old karmas and stay stuck in the past.

our intentions we set at the new moon are being tested this week. do you really want what you said you wanted? are you ready to work for it? to make the necessary self-adjustments? to take the rose-colored glasses off and see reality as it is? we need to follow intention with ACTION. of course the new moon was part of a grand earth trine so slow and steady wins the race. think tortoise, not hare.

to understand how the energy of this week will impact you- check out the new horoscopes i just posted tonight. they are member-only content but if you are not yet subscribed you can try out a one-week trial to see if they resonate and provide you with insight you value. you can then choose to continue on or cancel- it’s up to you.

enjoy your week!
