a tribute to robin williams…

628x471i wanted to write a little tribute to robin williams. he is my all time favorite actor and the leading role in one of my absolute favorites movies (what dreams may come). i got to meet him when i was 6 months old as i was the youngest “runner” in the bay to breakers race in san francisco (obviously my mother did the running and i was pushed in a stroller). i have always felt he was a kindred spirit- and when i look at his chart i could understand why! he’s triple water- sun in cancer and moon in pisces (like me!) as well as scorpio rising. such a sensitive soul in the limelight is not easy.

in his chart he has saturn square chiron- a tough combination that makes one painfully aware of all their wounds, lack and imperfections. to add to this they both semisquared his ascendant- so his ascendant was the midpoint between these two heavy hitters. and finally his sun quincunxed chiron- essentially making him the wounded healer (he could make everyone else laugh but could not seem to cure his own depression). he battled with addiction and depression throughout his life- and that often can happen to pisces moon souls who do not find a highly spiritual outlet for their sensitivity, compassion and empathy. pisces moons can feel everyone and everything around them- and when you are picking up on all the violence and pain in the world which only exacerbates your own it can get overwhelming.

by the looks of his progressed chart his progressed sun has been triggering this saturn/chiron square for the last 2 years. and this week his progressed moon was triggering the whole configuration as well (which would have been exact in 2 months). my sense is he has been deeply in it for the last 2 or so years- with the progressed full moon being the last straw that broke the camel’s back so to speak. to add to this the full moon on sunday was a heavy hitter with sun/black moon lilith opposite moon and square saturn- everyone seemed to be feeling that one! and if you are already dealing with a lot of deep stuff- that could be a lunation to push you over your edge.

with chiron on the galactic center- i don’t think he just played an alien, i think he comes from the stars. maybe the deep sadness he lived with all his life was simply a valid response of his pisces moon not understanding why there was so much suffering, anger, violence and toxicity in the world. and also perhaps his own forgetfulness about who he really is and where he really comes from.

i know his Spirit will find the freedom he seeks now. i personally believe in reincarnation- so i maybe his Soul simply needed a break. i am choosing not to judge how he left the body- and rather focus on sending him Love and Light for his journey back to Source. we never know where people are at and what decisions are best for them at the time. “be kind, for everyone you meet is fighting a battle”

your deep Soul and bright Spirit will be missed dear pisces moon brother…
